BOCA RATON - A Boca Raton "Pets in Need Clinic" will be held next month for cash-strapped pet owners in need of care for their animals.
The one-day clinic will start at 9 a.m. July 12 at The Center for Holistic Medicine at Calusa Veterinary Center, 6900 Congress Ave.
Pet owners are asked to register for an appointment for a fee of $25. Registration forms are available at the veterinary center and must be submitted by July 1. They can be faxed or e-mailed upon request.
Families will be pre-screened for eligibility and need a referral from a social worker, caseworker, or clergy demonstrating need.
Pet food donations will also be accepted at the clinic location for a Feeding Pets of the Homeless pet drive.
For more information or to donate, volunteer or apply for aid, contact Dr. Marcia Dubois Martin at martin@cvcboca. com (cvcboca.com) or call 561-999-3000.
